Welcome to this Abide bedtime story.

This time is designed to bring you comfort from God's word and to soothe your soul from

a long day as you drift into a restorative sleep.

As we begin, take a deep breath and exhaling slowly, settle in here.

It's time to abide in God's peace and it's time to rest.

With the Holy Spirit guiding us in prayer and with the words of the Apostle Paul

from Romans 8 guiding our hearts and minds into peace before we begin take a moment to get comfortable

adjust the lights if you need to stretch out or curl up and let the day's worries and work drift

away they will still be there tomorrow and God will give you what you need every day now is the time to accept God's gift of

rest so let your head sink softly into your pillow you are a child of God and your father is watching over you as

you sleep tonight imagine God singing over you a lullaby that leaves you feeling safe.

Like a child in their parents' loving arms.

Feel yourself wrapped up secretly in God's never-ending love if you're stressed release your stress to God

if you're worried let those worries go.

Allow your heart to open.

Bring your thoughts and your feelings to God, whatever they are.

God can hold them breathe in God's peace and breathe out your worries God is with you now God is watching over you and God is watching over you and God will work

all things together for good for those who love him and nothing can separate you

from his love you can lie down and sleep in peace let's pray

Heavenly Father Let's pray.

Heavenly Father, thank you for sending your Holy Spirit to be with your child tonight

as they sleep, to pray for them, to comfort them, to assure them of your everlasting love thank you that
