At this time of year, we often think the blessing of family and friends.

We must never forget, however, that the greatest blessing of Christmas is Christ himself.

Today, we look with Scott Pauli at the eternal blessings found

in the Word of God.

What is the Spirit of Christmas? Is that some mystical thing? Is it some emotional thing that just comes with the singing of Christmas carols and then subsides when the tree is taken down?

No, friend, I want to talk to you today about the spirit of Christmas. May I suggest to you that the real spirit of Christmas is not reserved for Christmas,

but he is at work in this world every day. The true spirit of this season is the Holy Spirit.

Galatians chapter number four and verse number four says this, but when the fullness of the time was come,

God sent forth his son,

made of a woman made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law that we might receive the adoption of sons and because you are sons. God has sent forth the spirit of his son into your

hearts, crying, Abba Father. Do you hear all three members of the

Godhead connected here? You have the father, you have the son, and you have the Holy Spirit,

co-equal, coexistent, co-eternal. And yet isn't it sad that around Christmastime, we talk a great

deal about the father who gave his son, we talk a great deal about the father who gave his son. We talk a

great deal about the son. And yet I would suggest to you that the most neglected member of the

Godhead at Christmas and most days, for that matter, is the sweet Holy Spirit of God. Let's talk about

the Holy Spirit, the true spirit of Christmas today. because I think if you're going to talk about

Christmas blessings, this is the gift that keeps on giving. This is the one that God has given to

dwell in our hearts by faith in his son who never leaves us, who never forsakes us, the spirit of the

Lord Jesus Christ. We find him, first of all, connected to the day that Christ

came. All the way back in Luke chapter 1 in verse number 35, the angel spoke to Mary. Do you remember

and said, the holy ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the highest shall overshadow thee. Therefore, also that holy thing which
