Big theory today, baby.

Yeah, as, you know, had you bring you on for this. A couple of reasons actually really works out, right? You are, it's like your last kind of free week here before school starts, diving back in. Jimmy is off this week. And this theory is something I was thinking about, kind of typing up. And I was like, well, I have to bring as on because this is really kind of an extension of like really one of our first theories we ever did on this podcast, which was really kind of your baby. And so I was been kind of diving into it deeper more. It actually kind of happened because I've been going through all of our old docs. I still have all of them. We've created all over the years as a nice, you know, created way back in the day.

And I was looking at all these theories and everything and being like, all right, let me, you know,

that's a, that's a fun one to dive into. That's a fun one to dive into. And so what I ultimately came up with, which was yours original theories of the possibility of Sorrelas and Aliris, also perhaps being Rainey's Targaryen.

Right. And so we'll go into that a little bit too, and we've talked about it many times on the show,

but I have one today, and I think it's going to be, I think the actual importance of the Sphinx and

Sorrela sand and Aliris, because I think that's where, like, where does does it ultimately go and what is going to be the point purpose because what is what is she or you know he Aliris doing there at the Citadel what is actually what is the purpose of that right here we go will Sorrelassan be the one to uncover John Snow's parentage at the Citadel?

One of the biggest mysteries in a song of ice and fire is the identity of the Sphinx. In his dying words,

Master Eamon urges Samuel Tarley to seek the Sphinx at Old Town. The Sphinx is the riddle. Many fans believe that the Sphinx is

Illyris, a young Dornish boy studying at the Citadel, who was actually Sorrella Sand,

one of Oberyn Martell's sand snakes in disguise. The Illyris equals Sorrella theory is one of

the most widely accepted in the fandom. But it does raise a key question.

Why is the Sphinx so important in the first place? What if the answer is that Aliris is the one who

uncovers John Snow's true parentage? In the show, Sam learns about Rhaegar and Leanna's marriage

when Gilly reads it from an old book at the Citadel. But in the books, maybe Sam learns it through Aliris, who's been investigating the mystery as well.
