Wada Heller took 15 ballots to get there.

Well everybody, after five days and 15 ballots, Kevin McCarthy is now speaker of the house.

After more hype and coverage than was absolutely necessary.

And only one Republican to center, the famed house rules have been passed.

And it's interesting because suddenly after the fact they found out that there was, dare

I say it, a secret, a dendum that contained concessions, more concessions that Kevin McCarthy

had committed to in order to lock in his speakership.
