Hello, sir. Hello, and we've already been talking in the render distance about the Super Bowl, but we've been talking about that with our special guest for today, who needs no introduction, but here is one anyway.

You can find him on YouTube and Twitch making videos and streams from the Hermitcraft server.

He's a three times Twitch rivals and MCC champion, the current world record holder of the All Minerals,

and once shook hands with two American presidents. It's Cub van 135. Cub, welcome to the show.

1:02.3

Hello, thanks. Great for having me. We really appreciate you taking the time. It's going to be a fun

1:06.8

conversation for sure. And we do have a few things coming up. We've got overhauled baby mobs, more of them coming from Mojang in this week's snapshot. And of course, we're going to chat with Cub about life on Hermitcraft, digging deep into overlooked game mechanics and his perspective on the future of Minecraft. Fantastic. Yeah, looking forward to it. Thanks for having me guys. So normally when we do our quick log-ins and we have a guest, we do like to invite you

1:28.7

to go first.

1:29.7

So Cub, what have you been doing in Minecraft this past week?

1:32.3

Ooh, so this past week I've been building a couple farms, building up my base a little

1:37.7

bit, and most importantly, I think preparing for a Nautilus race that I'm organizing on Hermacraft Season 11.

1:45.9

So just been getting that ready, getting a bunch of conduits placed down along the whole

1:51.1

river, which the course is going to follow, and trying to figure out, you know, who's building

1:56.1

which sections of the race course, making sure everybody's on the same page, stuff like that.

2:46.0

I think it's great to see people using the Nautilus for stuff like this as well, because the average survival player isn't going to get a whole lot of mileage, especially in like a single player world, unless you want to build underwater. But I love seeing community projects like this come together. Like if you're getting other builders involved, and you're getting people to sign up as races, so maybe they bring their own Nautilus, maybe they go the extra mile and get like the coral zombie Nautilus. Like, I think it's kind of fun that people are finding ways of using these features that are maybe like a little bit off the beaten path, right? Oh yeah, absolutely. Yeah. Having the ability to like have a little race underwater without just, you know, swimming and having, you know, all sorts of obstacles and jumps and introducing, you know, some water mechanics into it, perhaps, in certain scenarios, some redstone things underwater.

2:54.7

It makes it a kind of novel experience, I guess, that you don't normally see and that the average player might not experience.

2:59.0

So I'm looking forward to seeing how we can pull it together coming up later this month. I would imagine some well-timed nautilus dash or Nautilus and Spear lunge combos might be key to, like, crossing the finish line at just the right time.

3:11.6

Oh, yeah.

3:12.2

Yeah, I assume so, yeah.
