Welcome to the Spawn Chunks, episode number 364 recorded Monday, August 25th, 2025.

0:13.1

This is a podcast all about Minecraft, available across all of your favorite podcasting platforms,

0:17.1

as well as a video version on YouTube. If you're enjoying the show, consider subscribing wherever you're listening. My name is Joel Duggan, and joining me as always is my friend Johnny. You may know him better as pixel riffs on the interwebs. Hello, sir. Hello, and if you're a Transformers fan, this week's render distance is for you, because it's basically all we've been talking about. Joel has been working his way through various Transformers Lego sets and is also, of course, on a Transformers-inspired run of Satisfactory if you want to go and check out his stream vods.

But we're going to transform this into a Minecraft podcast now. In the meantime, if you'd like to support this show and get access to that pre-show chat, you can do so at patreon.com slash the spawn chunks, where this is actually

0:56.1

the last stretch in which you can take advantage of our seven-year anniversary discount that we've had on

1:01.3

Patreon. The promotion does end on August 31st. If you're already a free member on Patreon, by the way,

1:06.2

check out your email for a one-time discount on your first month, and that's going to apply to

1:10.4

anybody who's a

1:11.2

fresh sign up over on Patreon 2. So check that out. Once again, patreon.com slash the spawn chunks.

1:18.1

On this week's episode, despite major features being complete, snapshots continue to shape up for the

1:23.0

next gameplay drop, and we're also going to chat about some other ways copper could contribute

1:26.9

to the magic

1:27.7

of Minecraft. So all of that is coming up later in the show. So what have you been up to in

1:34.0

Minecraft this week, Johnny? So this week, in Survival Guide, I haven't done a whole lot. I've just been

1:39.1

replenishing resources after spending a lot of wood building those housing terraces that I made.

1:44.5

So I've been tapping into a couple of other things, including the snapshots.

1:47.8

Now that it's basically feature complete, I wanted to do a kind of rundown of all of the features so far,

1:53.3

get a bit more familiar with some of them, and explain to my YouTube audience, at least what I like about each of them.

1:58.3

So I did a little tier list video, been mocking up a couple of other designs,

2:02.1

using shelves to create archways and things like that, so I've had a bit of fun with that.

2:07.1

But outside of that, I've also stepped back into Minecraft Bingo in the snapshots because the current Fetcher developer Noynizer has been working on a beta version that works in the snapshots and is incorporating some of these new copper items and a few things from the Chase the Skies update that I hadn't actually touched on in Minecraft Bingo before.

2:26.3

So it's a beta version that works in 25 W33A. Obviously with the data pack versions rolling on, I'm not certain it's compatible with
