Hello, and we've had a delightful chat already with our guest for today, who we teased

at the end of the last episode, and we're very excited that Brandon Pearce is joining us,

better known to the community, perhaps as King B dogs. Brandon is our first Mojang team member

to appear on the show, is a Minecraft gameplay developer, but before that was known as the creator

of the ether mod and the orbis mod. So if anybody has ever been that small child who threw a bucket of

water into a portal made of glowstone and was wondering why that didn't work in vanilla Minecraft,

Brandon is to blame and you can blame him on Twitter at King B dogs. Brandon, welcome to the show.

It's like I said, our first time talking to somebody from Mojang, we're going to be picking your brain

about the stuff that you've been working on for the caves and cliffs update and probably a little

bit of the nether update as well. But honestly, yeah, having followed a bunch of you guys on Twitter

for a while, it's just fantastic that you're willing to spend a bit of time talking to us and

interacting with the community as often as you do. So so big thank you for that. No problem.

I love it. I love talking to the community. It's one of my favorite things to do as part of this job.

So every week we tend to do our quick login where we talk about what's new in our Minecraft life.

I guess we should probably start with our guests, but I want to ask, do you spend a lot of time

playing Minecraft in your time off or have you been diving into the caves and cliffs update the

way everybody else has and seeing what your teammates and everyone has been working on or what

else have you been playing during your vacation? Yeah, it's tricky. I think I overall play Minecraft

more now than I did before I joined Mojang just because I have to like as useful as it is to get

feedback from the community, I think it's also super valuable to just see how it feels

and me as a player. In my off time, I do tend to play like for example, I'm on vacation right now.
