There are reasons for this kind of socioeconomic reasons. Obviously, one of them is that

at the time of the foundation, not just of the league, but of football in Spain,

we're talking about a very rich region of heavy industry. We're talking about a region

therefore that has a connection with British entrepreneurs, British industry, which, of course,

is the origins of football in Spain starting with a well of all the way down in the south-western

corner. You see that, of course, in a name, athletic global bow. You see it in the influence.

There's a very clear sense, I think, when you certainly talk to Spaniards and we sometimes

might feel that they exaggerate it, but there's something in it. That idea that the Basque

country is kind of the British bit of Spain in terms of why they play, the way they approach,

the way they enjoy seeing it played as well. It's much more up and at them, isn't it?

We've seen that British influence, of course, right the way through the footballing history

of the region, from some of the legendary managers of athletic, what's his name?

Pendland, for example, they've been a couple of... Well, right through to the days of Chris Coleman

and David Moise over at Real Justice League. Yeah, Howard Kendall, of course, that
