Hey guys, welcome to the South Side Beat here on DK Pittsburgh Sports, presented by

Fandul. Chris Halleck and Matt Williamson here. We are talking Steelers football on a Sunday,

which is, this is obviously a deviation from our normal time that we usually talk, but

the Monday night game throws everything off for everybody. uh man I I'm I'm kind of excited

for Monday night just because it's it's prime time and everything but at the same time that walk

to the stadium Monday night's going to be pretty cold yeah and we end up having a very very late

night obviously too and it right it seemed it's almost like a jet lag effect for the rest of the week to like

oh 100% because it's like it's tom on the very next day at noon and yeah yeah all of a sudden

everything gets condensed and you're not enough sleep and it's like when you went to ireland almost

you don't you don't you don't get that day you know like you know on typical sunday you don't

get that monday you know where you can just you know comb through the film and go through the stats and look at the snap counts and the PFF grades and all that kind of stuff. There's none of that. It's Tom on the next day and then it's, you know, practice again on Wednesday and it's just right back to it. Yeah. Um, semi leisurely watch someone else on Monday Monday night. Right. While you're doing work on the side, you know. Right. Okay. So this is still, this is a pretty big game coming up. And we're going to get, we're going to get plenty into that in no time. But first, I do want to look back at what, because we didn't get a chance to do the show last week. So there are a couple of games that we could talk about. Obviously, the most

recent one being a pretty big one. But before then, obviously, that game against Buffalo was

pretty rough, not just from a performance standpoint, but obviously the reaction from the crowds, the booing

of Renegade, the chanting for Mike Tomlin to be fired. But then they bounce back and while

the entire country and everybody's talking about, hey, you know, should Tomlin's job be in jeopardy and, you know, all this kind of, you know,

national conversations going on. Steelers remain focused. They go into Baltimore. They win a

really big game. So your initial, I guess your takeaway of the past two weeks of this team, because it's been pretty turbulent. Well, the run defense hasn't been so great. No, it's not. No, it's not. Run yardage differential is remarkably bad in terms of those two games. Yeah. I think the Bill's game, we don't have to spend a of time on, because I know we don't have a lot of time.

We got to look forward. I mean, the day after the Bill's game, it'd be different. But I don't know. We haven't chatted since then, but I would imagine we agree that was the worst either game of the year. yes by far clearly i mean by far even though they were took they took a lead in the halftime they were

getting beat up.

I mean, that was the equivalent of playing somebody online and Madden and them just

spamming the same run play over and over and over again.

And you just not being able to stop it.
