well we made it everyone it's officially about to be the last game of the season i and the

steelers have already clinched the playoff worth and yet somehow i don't think that this game could

be like any more pessimistic for some fans but that's okay we'll still uh still talk some football

mackifee matt williamson what's going on guys what's going on how we doing yeah yeah uh everybody

have a good new year absolutely yeah of course it was good good holidays yeah yeah all right so

it was good a holiday for a lot of people but it was not a good three-week stretch for the

steelers about as bad as you could think granted three superior teams but also they were

outscored 90 to 40 don't want to ever see that happen. Doesn't matter who you're playing. But they get the mini buy. That could help them for sure. You get a little bit of a break. You get to kind of enjoy Christmas. Obviously, they had to play on Christmas Day, but you kind of get a bit of a break, a bit of a reset right before the final game of the season and then right before the playoffs.

So what's the reason for optimism here? That's what I guess what I'm reaching it, because

it just seems like every time we either write something on DK Pittsburghsports.com or

Matt, I'm sure with anything that you're doing that the

responses have just been absolutely full of pessimism.

So what is, what reason is there for optimism going into a game in which they're playing

a red hot Bengals team that's got Joe Burrow playing like he's going to steal the MVP from

either Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson?

Well, big picture. I don't know that there's optimism in terms of can they win the Super Bowl.

I mean, I don't think that's the timeline.

Hopefully next year at this time, when we're talking on January 3rd, 202026, wishing each other a happy new year.

We're talking about a potential Super Bowl team.

But I think they're better than what they showed these three weeks.
