As we've studied the life of Joseph with Scott Pauli, we've learned that this study isn't necessarily about Joseph,

but instead about the God who was with Joseph, even in the darkest of circumstances.

As you look at your own circumstances through the eyes of faith, do you recognize God's

presence?

Oh, that we could learn to live in the presence of God.

We are blessed people, and I think so often we forget how truly blessed we are in every way.

We concentrate on the things that didn't turn out the way we wished they would,

or the things that didn't go as planned.

But even those things, dear friend, may be the blessing of God in your life.

We must see from heaven's perspective.

You see, when you start thinking about blessings, it makes you look up.

It makes you lift your head toward heaven and get your eyes off of earth.

And that is what God is doing for us in this particular section of Joseph's life in Genesis

chapter number 49. I want to read the whole section today. If you'll just bear with me for a moment, it's not long.

It's Genesis 49, verses 22 through 26,

and I want you to hear the tone of blessing through the whole thing.

And then the special emphasis on blessing at the end of the passage.

Speaking of Joseph, it says,

Joseph is a fruitful bow.
