Why does God choose to work through people who don't even acknowledge him?

Surely there are faithful, available for assignment, the usual suspects seeking commission.

Isn't it lonely at times playing music with living instruments that don't even seem to know you're holding them?

This is a story about calling.

And it's a story about strength and weakness.

But not weakness that showcases strength. Those tales abound in

scripture, but this is not one of them. Not really. This is a story about strength that showcases weakness,

sets it in sharp relief, makes you sigh for the squandered potential of a moment, the squandered potential

of a calling, of a life.
