Summary
After moving into an old home with a history, he started hearing something he couldn’t explain—a steady sound like a basketball being bounced.
At first, it seemed like it was coming from outside. But every time he tried to track it down, it shifted—front door, back of the house, living room—without ever actually moving.
The sound never changed, and he was the only one who could hear it.
Over time, it became familiar enough that he even joked it was the spirit of a boy named Ricky, rumored to have lived there years before.
