Jiu Ren is a Chinese science fiction writer with a BFA from UCLA, where he initially

entered as an astrophysics major.

He later earned his MFA from RSID, establishing himself as a pioneer in VR animation.

His sci-fi shorts have been selected at animation festivals worldwide.

Currently based in New York City, Ren writes the Planet Diary column for Science Fiction World

magazine.

Growing up in Guangxhu and Southern California, Jay Sheng is a literary translator,

currently pursuing their Ph.D. in East Asian languages and civilizations at the University

of Pennsylvania.

Academically, their interests lie in issues of religion, culture, and identity.

Outside of school, they're an avid fan of tabletop games, sheet-on food, and horror fiction.
