If you're like me, you probably found yourself up in your fields quite a few times since

the pandemic started.

If it's not the staggering loss of life, it's the loss of livelihoods.

If it's not the interminable exile into our own homes, it's the fact that we desperately

miss people COVID-19 has ripped from us.

And sometimes you want a good song to help you get those fields all the way out.

But part of the experience of music is the show, the fact that you're supposed to pay

attention to the performance, not everything that's happening backstage.

But when you do, you realize that like all things, COVID-19 has taken its toll on the

people who make our music.

Already, music is one of the most inequitable industries out there.

For every act in the top 40, there are 400 others who are barely scraping by.

And the streaming platforms have decimated the income stream from selling music itself,

our artists rely on touring revenue to pay their bills and support their work.
