I can I say a special welcome as well to everybody who is enjoying this program for the first time on YouTube,

where we will now be broadcasting our morning pontifications in their full entirety.

So welcome. Does that mean I have to become more aware of the camera,

do you think? Do I have to start looking down the barrel? I just adjust the, I'll just adjust the microphone. This could end badly. Seriously, some of the little gestures that I like to

indulge in on a routine basis do not deserve to be broadcast to a wider audience, but,

but in for a penny, in for a pound. Four minutes after ten is the time. The state

of our schools was concerning us, of course, on Friday, notably this so-called rack, this

concrete that has been deployed in schools for decades. That is not the story. The story, of course,

is the failure of the government

to address the known problem. And in fact, I don't know what you were like at school, whether or not.

For me, it was either Songs of Praise, Antiet's Roadshow, or Last of the Summer Wine. So I was a weekly border for quite a long time.

But even when I was bored at what we used to call full border,

when you're there all the time,

you still get weekends off.

You still don't have to go to lessons on Sunday.

And the theme tune from any one of those three programs

was enough to set my stomach flipping at the thought

of having to go back to the classroom the next day. Do you remember that? Songs of Praise, Last of the

summer wine or Antiques Road Show that would, the opening bars of either of the, and they're all

quite memorable theme tunes. The opening bars of any of those three theme tunes would come over
