Summary

The heart of a man is devout...

She was never anything but a good mother, a good friend, until the Fascists decided to send her little boy off to war. A fortune teller and a baker by trade, she puts her talents to the task of keeping her only beautiful boy alive through the war.

But the cards are bleak, and show only darkness and bloodshed in the future set out for her boy. And so this good mother puts the darkest knowledge at her disposal to work, sacrificing her closest friends in order to create an infernal communion. A horrific, devilish confection that may save her boy from the battlefield.
