Let me tell you, Mays, the opportunity with our topic today to realize, number one, how old I am,

how infrequently I had thought about some of the players we're going to discuss today, and then realizing, oh, those are people I covered

when I was working with you, which I think is in my head not that long ago, but is that long

ago? Very troubling for me to find out how long I've been covering the NFL in talking about

some of these players we're going to talk about today. I was thinking about it last night. I was like, I moved back from L.A. It wasn't that long ago. And then it was eight years ago. It was eight years ago. It was 2015 when I moved back to Chicago. So what we're going to dig into today, you and I were kicking around a couple different ideas about what draft misses look like. I know, we, I think all collectively understand that we

live in a world where the draft is a crapshoot. You are going to miss out on the draft.

And with that knowledge in tow, we're going to dig into a couple different subjects about that

today. We want to start with what it looks like when you just miss out on swaths

of drafts, like year after year and specific positions over and over again. And then what the

actual tangible effects of that are. When you draft poorly, what does it force you to do to kind

to understand what the actual consequences are? And then we're also going to talk about some long lines of positional misses teams that just couldn't find the right guy and what that forces you to do and then i want to kind of wrap things up by discussing okay if we know this if we know that this eventuality is possible, where you can just miss and it

really does have important downstream effects, what are some general managers around the

league doing to kind of mitigate the downside of that, to mitigate the risk of what a bad
