There was a couple of noteworthy things, I would say, but one was this compound would have just run out of the gate in the underpants.

That's where this taking out the three targets that are a mile away.

That's where this happened.

So what had happened was I was playing cards with some of the guys.

We'd not long come back off a patrol.

And it came over the radio that another one of our

units had come under contact. A bit of a shoot and scoot situation. They'd let up a few rounds

and ram. And it was believed that they were withdrawing in our kind of direction. So I jumped

onto the roof and where our compound was, there was just a mile long

stretch of nothing but open poppy fields. So it was kind of, it was set up for me really. And as I'm

looking down towards these buildings a mile away at the other edge of these fields, I suddenly

see these three Taliban with her AK-40s and Air 47s at the other edge of these fields, suddenly see these three Taliban with

their AK 407s at the side, and they're walking in a single file, not, I thought that was due

probably to the IED threat in the area. But what I started to notice after a little while

watching them was the guy in the centre, he was commanding the other two.

The ones, they were his protection detail.

There was something about this guy.

So in my, I suppose, new mindset that I've now created, this is like five months into the six month tour this.

I am a different being altogether.

I'm living for squeezing the trigger at this point.

There's, you know, nothing's...
