You know, you talk a good game and you're all like me, me, me, me. And Bob. I am not me, me, me, me. And now, broadcasting from the fallacious Bob and Sherry studios. It's Bob and Sherry. Well, I hope everybody had a really good fourth. Most folks, going back to the old grind. Maybe there's somebody that you work with that, you know, they're not telling the truth all the time. And maybe it's coming down to showtime. You maybe need to expose them in some way. Or maybe there's somebody that you have a relationship with and there's just something

that's kind of wanky about what's going on. Are they lying to you? People who are incredibly good at

catching liars on the spot do five things according to top psychologists. Would you like to hear how to

catch a liar on the spot? How to catch a liar? Okay. Just like that. First of all, you have to be nice. You have to get the liar to like you, to open up, to talk a lot, and to make a mistake that reveals his or her deception. A great trick is to think of yourself as a friendly journalist. Good journalists do their homework so they know what's going on,

what they want to ask. And then there's the friendly part. The bad cop is not effective, but the good

cop is. Everybody wants to be treated with respect. And when people are, they're a little more

likely to talk. Number two, these people who really can spot

liars, they don't rely on body language too much. Everybody thinks that if a person will not

look you in the eye, they are lying. Or if a person will look you in the eye, they are not

lying. And that is not enough to dispel that myth.

As a matter of fact, very often, liars will look you right in the eyes.

And so will a psychopath when they're telling you a big old lie.

I believe that, don't you?

We've lived it. Are you kidding? Yeah, that's exactly right. Yeah. Yeah. Number three, these are

things that people who can really spot liars use. They ask unanticipated questions. Ask an

underage person looking at a bar how old they are.

You're going to hear, I'm 21.

But what if you ask them, what's the date of your birth?

That's an exceedingly easy question for somebody telling the truth, but a liar will have to pause and do some math and gotcha.
