I do feel like Matt would avenge your murder. I'd highly doubt it, but it's a great episode. So we are covering an episode called the smoking gun, which is a famous famous case, but somehow we've never done it.

Josh has referenced this case in multiple times that we've talked to him. The minute they said the name I recognized it.

Yeah, also this is the case that shows how tight Josh is with the LAPD to get interviews with like the top brass. Yeah, and they love him, but everyone loves him. Yeah.

So the smoking gun is the episode February 11th 2011 season 19 episode 29. You can find it on peacock. This episode is hosted by Mank, a man who has all the answers.

True. This episode starts in 2009 in Los Angeles homicide detective Jim Nuttle, Nuttle, Nuttle, Nuttle.

Nuttle. It's one of those words. It's hard to say if you don't pronounce your T's very precisely. He's handsome. I had a little crush on him. He arrives at work and was super tired, basically hungover because he had hosted a Super Bowl party the day before. And as Mank says, the beer had flowed freely.

Did you still have a crush on him after he said that? Yeah, I would make my dip and I would go to a movie or something. Okay. Yeah, he can enjoy the Super Bowl. I just don't have any desire to watch it with him.

We don't have to do. We're not one of those couples Katie. That has to do everything together. Jim and I, Jim and I have our own interests.

Listen, we saw some B roll of what they were serving at this party, although it wasn't actual B roll from that party. It was just a generic B roll of the Super Bowl party. It all looked delicious pizza, seven layer dip.

Have you ever been to a fancy Super Bowl party like that with actual likes lots of food? Yeah.

I've been to one with like Doritos, I feel like, but I don't know if I've been to one with actual like pigs in a blanket and were derves.

I didn't see pigs in a blanket. I saw pizza and seven layer dip. There were no pigs in a blanket. Oh, there definitely were if there was seven layer dip and pizza. They were in the back. There's somewhere or in the oven still.

Pics in a blanket are not fancy though. Let's move on. I realize that there's a difference really right there. I just meant I would have like three bowls of different kinds of Doritos of like the cheese, the cool ranch, and then maybe a wild card flavor. And then that would be it.

Okay. So Jim just wants to spend a quiet day at the office with his coffee and catch up on his reading and make says a couple of aspirin and the detective grins and they are instantaneously best friends.

Yeah, although he should really wipe his book off. Can't get messy. Get it.
