When you show mercy to people that have hurt you,

when you're kind to someone that you have every right to ignore,

when you help that neighbor that's always rude to you,

you will feel a joy deep down in your spirit, a contentment,

a satisfaction. You know what that is? It's the smile of God.

I like to start with something funny and I heard about this pastor.

He was raising funds for a new auditorium. He said to the congregation,

anyone that will give a thousand dollars can pick out the next three hymns.

A little old lady in the back raised her hand and said, Pastor, I'll do it.

He was so excited. He said, thank you, ma'am. Now which three hymns would you like?

She looked over the congregation, said, I'll take him and him and him.

Say it like you mean it. This is my Bible. I am what it says I am. I have what it says I have.

I can do what it says I can do. Today I will be taught the Word of God.

I boldly confess my mind is alert. My heart is receptive. I will never be the same in Jesus name.
