He's Irish O'Fell. My name is Tom Lang, and tonight we have a lot of sports to talk about because we have gotten into one of the great parts of the calendar.

Irish O'Fell talks about this all the time. I'm going to let you stand on the soapbox of glory, good sir, Noel sports everywhere. And right now, the news has

been pretty good over the last few days for Florida State Sports. Basketball with a blowout win,

baseball with an impressive two-game sweep, the opening weekend of the season. Good evening, sir.

And all righty, here we go.

There's action left and right from here on out.

Yeah, you know, it's weird how sometimes it works out.

You know, obviously sometimes you have a day where there's a lot of FSU sports going on and some win, some lose.

There are occasionally those days where it's just ugliness everywhere,

like everybody just plays poorly on that particular day, and it's just misery. But then you

have a weekend like this past weekend, particularly, you know, Friday and Saturday, you know,

just a lot of good things happening for Florida State, a lot of impressive wins in a bunch of different sports.

And after what we've been going through for the last recent football seasons, it's good.

I was actually in the press box. And Chip Baker, actually, a longtime FSU, director of operations,

still a huge part of the program, always around the program,

even in, I guess, quasi-retirement. And he kind of leaned over me and said, I think the fan base

needs baseball back. And I was like, yeah, man, I think it does. And it's good to have it back.

And softball and the way basketball's playing, too, obviously. Yeah, softball did.

It quit itself pretty well down there in Clearwater, getting a four-game split two and two

really close to a giant result against Texas Tech in the first game down there at the

Eddie Seymour Complex in Clearwater.
