Alright, so we're walking down 161st Street here in the Bronx, it's like 90 degrees

out in the sun and we are coming up on right here the the family court building and we're

going to be headed in there in just a minute hopefully to have air conditioning.

The Bronx Family Court is a place where a lot of serious stuff happens.

Many cases, child support cases and the building itself is imposing.

It's one of those big brutalist concrete cubes emphasis on big.

But today I am visiting something that you might not expect to find inside of the Bronx

Family Court.

A museum, a very small museum dedicated to very small creatures.

I'm looking at what appeared to be a tiny sculpture of a squid or a snail in this kind

of vending machine sized box, box of boxes.

You know the monolith in 2001 is a little bit like that, it's like this thing has come

down out of space and landed here and here I'm going to get closer.

I'm Dylan Therese and this is Atlas Obscura, a celebration of the world's strange, incredible

and wondrous places.

Today we are celebrating the power of the small, the smallest, mollusk museum.

It's part of a fleet of tiny museums, micro museums.

That may just have a big impact on the world.
