Hello hello. I'm Brittany Loose and you're listening to It's been a minute from NPR, a show about

what's going on in culture and why it doesn't happen by accident. For the next few weeks I am bringing the Smackdown, a debate series to American cities all

across the country to find out what are the most influential things and the most

important people that come from those places. I'm debating who

and what are the greatest of all time. Today's cage match is being held in New Orleans, Louisiana.

select a contender for each category that includes me. We'll each make our case that

also includes me and then a select jury of NPR culture critics will determine a winner.
