Elizabeth Warren is quite upset.

You probably heard about this.

In fact, NPR did an amazing fluff piece on this merger between Capital One and Discover Financial.

Two major credit card issuers that have their own cards and they want to merge and then give money. card lead to higher credit card fees and higher costs for cardholders because it's just

reducing the amount of competition in the marketplace. This ever since 1983

when Ronald Reagan ordered the Department of Justice,

the Securities Exchange Commission,

of the Federal Trade Commission, to stop enforcing our antitrust laws.

The first president to actually start enforcing our antitrust laws was Joe Biden.

He's going after Google right now.

He's going after several of the big internet companies.

And now this is a $35 billion takeover.

The acquisition, Elizabeth Warren, says,

quote, threatens our financial stability, reduces competition,

and would increase fees and credit costs

for American families.

The Wall Street deal is dangerous

and will harm working people.

Regulators must block it immediately.

But this is what's going on.

In fact, the guy on NPR's going on about how, well, you know, they'll get more efficient, right?
