I mean I know that you and I have been probably the most pessimistic, maybe not the most, but pretty pessimistic.

Pretty up there, yeah.

But recently, I felt really confident that they were going to get something done and I feel less and less confident every day.

Yeah, I gained a little bit more confidence to kind of come over from where I was, but then all these offers

just don't seem to be made in that great of faith.

But then yesterday at the draft, Rob Manford says, yes, there will be

baseball in 2020 because he has the power to demand that. Because of the agreement in place he can basically mandate like a 45 game

season or something so they're making his offers but at the end of the day he can still say,

nah, you're just going to do what I say.

I mean, he can, at the same time, the players can say they don't agree to expand the playoffs.

So it's like they still have that bar. the players can say they don't agree to expand the playoffs.

So it's like they still have that bargaining chip in kind of their back pocket

that they can just go, yeah, okay, you can have a 45 game season but it's still

only gonna be regular playoffs which the owners definitely don't want so I

still think things are gonna to get figured out, but I am definitely like the confidence meter has dropped
