for our interview with John Smoltz.

Now, I'm certain that all of you know who he is,

but if you don't you're crazy I no I can't

accept that I can't accept any of you not knowing who John Freckin Smolts is but that is who we're

interviewing today you're gonna hear you know and I talk to him about all sorts of pitching stuff basically using his career as the through line talk about adding pitches, changing pitches, command, you know, kind of his

thoughts on command obviously that's, you know, no matter what, as much as we talk about it's

still a bit of a nebulous thing. It means different things to different people, particularly, you know, analysts, pictures, scouts, they all kind of have their own ideas of what it might mean. So we get into that with him.

Obviously talk about the transition from starting to relieving to starting again,

how injuries affected him.

You know, obviously he had the Tommy John I think at age

33 it was then came back did the relieving went back to starting. We also

kind of you know I asked him for a couple guys that he's

taking a big step forward. You know, I don't think he plays fantasy

baseball. I didn't ask him that, but, you know, since this is a fantasy

baseball podcast with that as a main idea.

I just, you know, said two guys that are a little bit down that you think could

step forward this year gave some really interesting names, gave a couple mid-level names,

and then one high-end name that he you know continues to see that potential

to put it all together as a complete superstar so we'll get into that but you know I don't want to waste too much time here let's get into this this was one of the most
