Hey, good to be back on Sunday with you, man.

Now that I'm home for that for, for, you've been gone.

I've been gone, but it's good to be home for a few weeks and to talk through what's going to be an interesting few weeks of fantasy baseball talk as we prep for a trade deadline, which is on probably the worst day possible.

Yeah, you and I were just discussing this.

We added it to the rundown.

So why don't we just jump right in and discuss it? The trade deadline this

year is on a weird day. It's on Monday, August 3rd at 6 p.m. Eastern, which, you know, means like,

you know, typically the trade deadline is July 31st. And if it was, you know, that case this year, we'd have a Sunday fab session right after this

year.

We're not going to have another Sunday fab session until, what, the 9th of August.

Yeah.

And I don't understand why.

I mean, Thursday, the 30th, the 31st is on a Thursday.

So no, no, it's Friday. All right. So I kind of get why they didn't do that because everybody going into a weekend series, whatnot to have that disruption. But, you know, did it really have to be Monday? Don't they ever, doesn't MLB ever think of us fantasy baseball players? No, they don't. Clearly not. Managers don't care about our teams and the league doesn't care about us at all. Because that's what we get into. It's like we're going to see this trade deadline. And remember, it's 6 p.m. Eastern. Game start at 7. There's always a few trades that kind of leak in and get done right up. Most of the time, those are minor. They're rarely impactful. Every once in a while, though, it's a big name. Every now and then we have something. So, but the, to be clear, a lot of these players are already going to be on teams. So it's just a matter of, like, hey, to Terek Skouble, go to a different team, like that type of thing? So maybe it's beneficial. But there's going to be some cases where playing time opens up for somebody. And now of a sudden they've got a full week of playing time and they're sitting on the free agent list and nobody's going to be able to take advantage of that. You know, how many hot starts have we had where a guy just comes up and just

rakes in the first week. Nobody gets those stats and then they buy them and then the player

does nothing. So I just, I'm a little frustrated personally by this, by losing a week of this

because we're not going to be able to get any changes from the trade deadline, put in lineups

until August 10th, which gives us

three weeks before some leagues are in the playoffs where September is just playoff
