The Welcome to episode 291.5. It's not quite episode 292 of the sleeper in the bus but it's close. It's an impromptu episode to discuss the David Price signing and I'm Paul Spore joined by Enoserris. Eno, how's it going man?

I hate the cold weather.

Everyone knows that.

I won't belabor that point.

But it is our normal Tuesday.

We were not doing our normal episode

like we would in season, you know, go an hour or whatever,

but I just want to jump on.

I figure with all the David Price signing and kind of all the reaction to it, why don't we get some

thoughts down on audio for the people so they don't have to try to sift through the millions

of tweets that are going. Obviously you're going to write about it, we'll direct them toward that when it's up as well.

But let's just start right out of the gate.

David Price, 7 years, 217 million for the Boston Red Sox. We're here in reports that the St. Louis Cardinals finished second.

That report's coming out from Bob Nightingale. And Nightingale's latest tweet suggests that it was in at least $30 million difference for the

Cardinals between the Cardinals and Red Sox offers that price passed up. So

whatever happened there in the 11th hour because it seemed like at least for

price and his people they thought they were going to St. Louis
