But it, it's heart, depending on what it is.

We all may be on this planet together,

hurtling through infinite space with no idea where we're headed

and only the slightest understanding of where we've been,

but in no way is this common ground that we share.

Everyone has a different circumstance,

and we're each a slave to our own genetic makeup,

our familial influence, our personal level of incompetence even.

The speed of life depends on how enjoyable it is.

Sure, life seems short when it's easy, when it's fun, when it's bountiful.

But life is long for those of us to feel stuck, unfulfilled,

doomed to slogged existence out while doing things we don't want to do.

Interacting with people we would never choose to be around.

Serving a menial purpose while working for minuscule pay,

then heading home to a mediocre lifestyle that will never improve

with our deteriorating mental health and paycheck to paycheck motor

or that stalls constantly.
