All right, let's dive into this week's episode, which I actually recorded quite some time ago,

but I had kind of a hard time with editing on, so it's taken a bit,

because it sort of fell at the same time when I was traveling across the country and starting my internship and yeah it's been a lot but I'm really excited to finally be sharing this episode with you.

So I got to interview two different incredible women.

First, it was Dr. Virginia Louise Trimble.

She is an American astronomer that specializes in the structure and evolution of stars and

galaxies.

She also focuses on the history of astronomy and she really is a trailblazing woman in the field.

We're going to talk quite a bit about that

when during the episode with her.

But basically, she was one of the very first women to get a

PhD from Caltech. She was only the second woman allowed to access the Palomar

Observatory.
