Oh, okay. So why does the perception of yours going by quicker as you get older occur?

What is our brain doing to us? It definitely seems to be a tiny percentage of the other years in your life.

I don't know. I think our brain changes. I bet you that whatever part of our brain senses time or keeps track of time is just changing as we get older.

Is it trying to tell us to kind of make the most out of the remaining time we do have? Maybe subconsciously?

You know, it's funny. Like we're at the end of 2021. I remember in 2020 we were going, oh man, what's 2021 going to be like?

Like it was the big mystery year. And you know what guys? It's, you know, look at where we're at.

The virus situation is actually slowly but steadily getting better. You know, new medications are coming out that could really minimize the dangers.

It's not as bad as we thought it was going to be. Well speaking of which, that's actually the COVID update I was going to give this week.

I wrote about this on Science-Face Medicine. Two medicines have been announced that are actually effective antiviral treatments for COVID-19 for coronavirus within a day of each other, which I don't think was a coincidence.

I suspect that the MIRK announced the UK approved Malnou Pyravir and then a day later Pfizer announced.

Paxle of it, they're antiviral drug. And so I think probably like when Mark made their announcement, probably like dang we got to get this thing out.

We're going to kick somebody in the butt and get that announcement out. We're closer now.

So these are antiviral drugs. These are the first treatments that are direct antivirals. So if you've prior to this, we have preventive treatments which is basically social stuff plus vaccine.

That's the vaccine, which is the big prevention. And then for treatments, we had mostly supportive care. We had immunoglobulin therapy and that was it.

Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin are fake treatments. They don't work or they're experimental at best.

I think the hydroxychloroquine is done. You can make an argument that there's still some room to do some research for Ivermectin.
