You can hardly have a July go by without thinking about Roswell New Mexico, because everyone

knows this week back in 1947 about the famous or infamous, I should say, Roswell lying

disc crashing.

The folks at the Roswell Army Airfield issued their press release stating that the 500

night bomb group recovered a crashed flying disc from a ranch near Roswell.

And the next day, the Air Force reported that it wasn't a disc, it was a radar tracking

balloon that had been recovered and not a flying disc, but folks, Jeannie out of the bottle,

That was the beginning of the end, essentially.

But that story was dead for 30 years, because it was resurrected in the 1970s by Stan Friedman.
