There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man.

It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity.

It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of

man's fears and the summit of his knowledge.

This is the dimension of imagination.

It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone. It's interesting to note that at this point in the first season of the Twilight Zone, its future wasn't really assured.

Mr Denton on Doomsday hadn't really garnered a particularly good rating, but on it went with another episode based very much on one of the aspects of the human condition.

In the first episode it was loneliness, next it was mortality and then redemption in the third episode.

This time round it's about what it means to get older and how you approach that and deal with it.

In tonight's episode of the Twilight Zone podcast we'll be looking at an episode called the 16mm

shrine.

I won't be doing much in the way of synopsis because I find with this episode there isn't

really that much in the way of twists and turns.

Rod Sailing presents us with a woman in a certain situation and the scenes that

really just serve to illustrate that situation even further.

Now there is that element of escalation as well, these things happen to and obviously

affect her mental state and you know what happens after that but it's still

pretty much all there in the first five minutes but let's see how we get on anyway and

here's the 16mm shrine picture of a woman looking at a picture movie grade of another time

whence brilliant star and a firmament no longer a part of the sky,

he clipsed by the movement of earth and time.
