John chapter 21, all right?

John 21 and Romans 1.

In other words, open your Bibles to John 21

and then put a marker at Romans chapter 1 and we'll

flip over there toward the end of the message.

Now I'm preaching today a message called the

sin of comparison.

Let me say that again so that you can groan louder.

The sin of comparison.

It is a sin that we all fall to and it is a sin. I'm going to show that to you very clearly in scripture. But we need to understand what it does. So we're going to talk about the curse of comparison, the cause of comparison, and the cure of comparison.

John 21, this is right after Jesus said to Peter three times, if you love me, feed my sheep.

If you love me, feed my sheep.

If you love me, feed my sheep.

So look at John chapter 21,

look at beginning, verse 18.

John 21, verse 18. John 21 verse 18 most assuredly I say to you when

you were younger you girded yourself and walked where you wished but when you are old you will stretch out your hands and

another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish. This he spoke signifying by what death he would glorify God. And when he had

spoken this he said to him, follow me. Look at verse 20. Then Peter turning around saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also leaned on his

breast at the supper and said, John said this at the supper, Lord who is the one who
