“We said we weren’t going to speak to anybody. We stopped talking altogether—only us two, in our bedroom upstairs.”

Born in April of 1963, June and Jennifer Gibbons were twins born to a pair of immigrants that relocated to the U.K. during their childhood. There, however, the twins - who already suffered from a speech impediment - were treated unfairly because of the color of their skin and bullied significantly by their peers.

Over the next several years, June and Jennifer would begin to close off communication with everyone other than themselves, beginning an unhealthy and toxic relationship that would eventually lead to their confinement in mental hospitals - and ultimately, a mysterious death...
