Stroke is the 5th leading cause of mortality in the US. Every 40 seconds, someone in the US has a stroke. Every 3.5 minutes, someone dies of stroke. Every year, more than 795,000 people in the US have a stroke.

In the part 1 of this episode, Dean and Ayesha explore the epidemic of stroke and their risk factors.
