back preschool, and I said, crappy parents,

uninvolved parents, negligent parents, disinterested parents, send their kids to preschool.

Instead of raising them, especially the first five years, which are so significant to be with beloveds,

so they can learn, they can be influenced,

loved up and down, and learn safety, security, love. They don't do that in preschool or daycare. So I got a wonderful

letter. Read it twice and decided to read it to you. This is from, well, I'm not going to give her name.

First of all, I would like to say I've been a listener for years and have used so much of your

advice that you've given your callers and I thank God for you every day.

I thought my life calling was to be a nurse, but life took a different turn, and for 25 years I have been teaching preschool.

Long story short, with the encouragement of my husband and family, I bought an established private

preschool in 2007 after the owner I worked for retired. And now I am close to retirement.

I appreciate your stance on preschool and wanted to express my viewpoint as a pre-k teacher. We run half-day morning sessions, so me and my other

teacher are with our students for two and a half hours each morning.

I have experienced a wide array of parenting skills, in quotes, from the helicopter parents to the
