Summary
In December, 1835, the Mexican army surrendered the major city of Bexar to the rebellious Texans. Learn about the grass fight and the capture of the pots and pans! You’ll also learn about the pivotal role BBQ played in the cause of Texas independence!

| 1:09.8 | He was the guy who went with Benjamin Cromwell Franklin to inform the provisional government that San Jacinto had been won and Texas was free. He was a later judge and he held some other offices. Well, in episode three, I mentioned that the Texans had posted a lookout in the bell tower of Mission Concepcion right before the battle. Robert Calder was that lookout. |
