That movie was Shrek.

That's right, the quirky animated film about the big green ogre falling in love with a princess.

So it didn't win any awards at Cannes, but audiences loved it.

The groundbreaking computer animation techniques and the slightly subversive plot set a new standard.

And that year Shrek won the very first ever Academy Award for an animated film.

And today I'm taking you to visit one of the movie stars at their home.
