There will always be someone in distress.

And there will often be situations where someone breaks or disrupts social norms.

And so to me thinking about the response is the most important piece of this conversation.

And I just want to say, and I've been saying this for years in a bunch of different contexts, the show mustn't go on. It mustn't.

There is nothing less important than the Oscars, really. If you think about just the context of the world right now, the show must not go on.

If something like this happens, it is worth pausing and addressing.
