Greetings to those interns. This is Joan of over.

You know, that's how I've done the intro for so long.

I don't even know if that's the right way to do it, but it has a long tradition of existence.

So, it is a special day. I'm at the Green Breyer Resort in West Virginia.

I have a speech, talk, whatever, it's weird.

I don't know when this happened.

We have a lot of business people who listen to this, so maybe they'll tell me.

But at some point in the last 20 years, people stop calling things, speeches.

Like, you know, on a speaking tour, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, but you give presentations.

And people, you know, looking forward to your presentation.

And I'd say maybe 10% of the time people will say, I'm looking forward to your talk.

I don't think anybody has said, I'm looking forward to your speech in years.

And to me, and I don't care.

I mean, it's not like I have a lot of invested in the idea that it's a speech,

but it's just kind of funny how the language has changed underneath my feet.

And I'm sure part of it has to do with the, the prophetious rise of PowerPoint.

I think it was Steve Hayward who first said, quoting paraphrasing actin that

power corrupts and PowerPoint corrupts absolutely.

I don't do PowerPoint.
