We've been talking about our founding fathers,

and we've been talking about Patrick Henry.

We've been talking about the early colonies

and their understanding that self-government is the,

that's the strategy for success. And England in early America was trying to

just, you know, rain those colonists back in and get them back underneath their power and their

control and they weren't having it. And there was a man named Patrick Henry and he gave that

famous speech. And I want to read to you

the speech that he gave because he sensed that that perhaps a great conflict was coming in fact

he knew a great conflict was coming because the government that that was that was putting them under their their tyranny and crushing the will of these

early Americans under the force of their taxation, stealing their property and their

merchandise and their money and their freedoms and their God-given rights, Patrick Henry

gathered everybody up, and he gave

this very famous speech. I'm going to read just a part of it. And in his speech, he gave some very

searching questions that had only one possible answer. And again, I'm reading this out of the American Covenant book,

The Untold Story. And listen to what Patrick Henry said. He said, and this is in regard to the

great conflict with England, he said, what has there been in the conduct of the British

ministry of England for the last 10 years to justify hope.

What have they done over the last 10 years that should make us think that there is hope of

reconciling with them? He says, are fleets of ships and armies necessary to demonstrate
