I've spent my life chasing adventure in the mountains.

I moved to Alaska when I was 19 and became an adult climbing the Chosy Chugacch outside

of Anchorage.

I loved life in Alaska.

I loved the way the snow felt like polystyrene under my boots and how my eyelashes would

freeze together in the still-night air.

I loved that a moose blocking the bike path on my commute to work was a valid reason for

being late.

I loved that I could step outside of my front door, cross a single road, and then walk

to the top of the mountain, picking my house out among the crisscross of streets below.
