There's a lot of people out there that are experiencing these effects and might be currently in a relationship and not be able to recognize that these are

being manifested because of the emotional abuse. And we're just going to go through a big

rundown of all of this today from being in a relationship to also being a child as well

in these situations when there's abuse going on in the home and how these things can

manifest and to recognize that these things are happening. So when it comes to emotional

abuse, the domestic violence hotline uses this definition. Emotional abuse is when someone uses non-physical

tactics to control or manipulate a person or to intentionally damage their self-esteem and self-worth.

These tactics are meant to scare, isolate, and frighten the person on the receiving end.

And someone might employ these emotional abuse tactics to chip away at your sense of reality.
