This was a scheduled work day and Chris was to be there at the home to start work that morning. When he arrived Chris found the overhead garage door to the home open. He found his boss inside the garage, dead. Michael Short had been shot once in the head. Inside the Henry County Sheriff’s department located Michael’s wife Mary. She too had been shot once in the head. As if things weren’t already bad enough, the Sheriff’s department could not locate the Short’s 9 year old daughter. What was the motive here in this double homicide? Where was the little girl? Join us in our Garage as we take a deep dive and look at a case that is now 20 years old and 20 years unsolved. 1:00.0	On September 30th, 2003, Jennifer Short was exhumed for forensic purposes.
1:10.8	No one addressed why this was done or what tests were conducted or what the results of
1:16.8	those tests were.
1:18.7	This is very interesting here, Captain, because we're sitting here in our timeline.
1:24.0	We had to go back in time a little bit because we left off with the 2005 charging of the
1:30.7	three men lying to police, lying to law enforcement, getting indictments, getting convictions
1:37.6	and all of those cases.
1:39.4	But now here we are back in 2003.
1:42.1	We are about 13 months after the homicides took place.
1:47.6	And now we're sitting here with the situation where they're exhuming the remains of Jennifer
1:53.7	Short.
1:54.8	We know that at one time they exhumed the remains of Michael Short.
2:00.4	And we get a little bit of clarity and a little bit of reasons why they exhumed Michael's
2:04.5	body.
2:05.5	But in 2003, we don't get any explanation for why they are exhuming Jennifer Short's body.
2:12.2	Or what tests were conducted or what the results of those tests were.
2:16.8	Well, that's been the way that law enforcement has handled this case from the beginning.
2:21.9	It's very tight-lipped and they're not going to give too much away.
2:26.2	But very weird, right?
2:27.7	We've not seen.
2:28.9	I don't believe that we've seen a case where they've exhumed more than one victim.
2:33.8	And in such a short period of time, they've exhumed two of the three victims within 13 months
