Welcome back, everybody. In this podcast, in the entire show, we've talked a ton about the Second Temple of Jerusalem, right?

So the Second Temple in the period marked by the building of the Second Temple of Jerusalem

was absolutely critical to the formation of the earliest days of

Christianity. The Second Temple is not the subject of today's episode, though. If there was a

second temple, it has to be assumed that there was a First Temple. And of course, there was a first temple.

The first temple known as Solomon's temple was incredibly important place in its own right.

Temple worship in this time before the destruction of the first temple helped to define the Israelites and the proto-Jewish religion,

you might say, and what would eventually wind up being the Judehite-Judean religion of the
