We've returned today to Luke chapter 15 to one of our Lord's most famous parables.

1:27.2

Of all the stories he told,

1:29.4

the story of the lost, the parable of the lost sheep and the lost coin and the lost son

1:36.7

is recorded for us in Luke chapter number 15.

1:40.3

Now, the most famous part of that, of course, is the prodigal son.

1:44.5

I'll show you by the time we get to the end of the chapter, there actually were two of them.

1:48.2

There was one boy lost in the far country and another one lost at home.

1:52.4

So the whole chapter is really not about this prodigal son.

1:57.0

It is about the fact that all people are lost without God and that Jesus Christ has come to bring us home.
