I for one am glad of it and no one could ever say that it wasn't Rod Sailing's intention

to highlight these things using the show.

That was what he was doing from the beginning and

it's one of the great strengths of the Twilight Zone, but could it ever go too far?

The director of tonight's episode of the Twilight Zone said about it, this was Rod in one of his

messianic moods. It was too uptight with its own self-righteousness I think.

I found it an interesting idea, I think the thesis was excellent, but I think its devices

and its general style of writing were little too pompous.

When the episode begins if it weren't for the Twilight Zone opening credits, you'd be forgiven

for thinking that you tuned into some light-hearted early 60s sitcom.

How could this be accused of being too preachy?
